Alan Burns - Principal

Alan Burns is a member of the Financial Planners and Insurance Advisors Association (FIPAA) and complies with the FPIAA code of ethics in all facets of his practice. He is also a foundation accredited Investment Fiduciary.

Mark Dobson – General Manager

Alan’s passion for his work and clients, underpinned by his independence, integrity and dependability make Red the perfect partner for our clients. You can’t beat the combination of these corner-stone qualities in any business. Alan is ably supported by a small team of dedicated client service staff who are committed to looking after clients needs. Working in this small, flexible and dynamic team makes life exciting.

I have a banking background and my financial services experience, coupled with my business management degree (Waikato) enable me to support Alan and our advisers from my management/administration role as General Manager. I believe that Red’s success is measured by our 
clients’ success. By understanding and working with our clients to 
achieve their lifestyle and financial goals we create our own destiny and 
guarantee a fruitful future.

Abby Burns - Advisor

I love the fact that I work in the family business. It means that I can confidently look forward to a lifetime career in this work and therefore my clients can expect consistent, continuous service from me. Already many of my clients have become friends and I expect that we’ll all go through life’s ups and downs together, with me providing reassurance just when it’s needed.

There are not a lot of younger advisors around. I guess the complexity and responsibility of the role doesn’t appeal to many but I am lucky to have Dad as my mentor and the solid resources of RED behind me. The more I learn, the more I believe in the value of our service and I am proud that the work I do makes a genuine difference to people’s lives.

Bruce Wright - Advisor

Bruce entered the financial services industry in 1990 as an agent with National Mutual (now AXA). In 1995 and 2002, he completed insurance legislation training and also holds a Life Underwriters Association Certificate. Bruce has won an International Quality Award in recognition of quality life underwriting service to the public.

"My job is primarily about building relationships and I thrive on personal development. I love to add value for people with their Insurances and Superannuation and also to help with their goal setting".

"I firmly believe in a controlled balance in life between my work, family and sport. I have a huge passion for soccer, still playing myself and 
coaching my son's team. My other interests include water-skiing 
and Karate".

Having worked alongside Alan predominantly in the area of Client Services since 2002, and with a background of customer-focused roles, I have gathered lots of knowledge and experience along the way.

The ultimate goal for myself and the Client Services Team at RED is to provide you with the best possible service and to be there when you need our help. We want all our clients to feel happy and comfortable in the knowledge that we know how to handle your query, and if we don’t know the answer to your question, we always know how to find out! It’s good to know that our expertise has often made a difference for clients making claims.

Donna Monroe – Client Relationships

Having joined RED quite recently I am really impressed by the dedication of the people here. They demonstrate an absolute belief in the worth of their work and it feels wonderful to be a part of that.

I know that when I’m talking with clients I represent a team of people who perform, who put themselves out to look after their clients and who do work that really matters.

After many years selling luxury cars I’m loving the change of environment and I’m looking forward to learning more about this rewarding business.

Samantha Richardson – Client Services

I joined Red Risk Managers in January 2007 as their Administrator and since then my role within the organisation has developed to include a wide variety of aspects of client servicing.

I enjoy working with such a close knit team of advisors and support staff who are dedicated to ensuring that we provide the right Risk Management and Investment solutions to suit clients’ individual needs. As a young person it’s an education to work here and to assist with claims. It makes you realise just how uncertain life can be and how valuable insurance is.
